landybear
Hi all, The landy has started to pull to the right when i apply the brakes suddenly or abruptly. I am fairly sure this hasnt gone on for long but i dont tend to brake suddenly if i can help it. But to avoid a stupid boy on a bike i applied the brakes hard and the landrover nearly mounted the pavement!! Have had both front wheels off and have checked the pads and made sure the pistons can move and arent jammed. There is no fluid seeping down or anything. I drove down the road with my hands off the wheel and broke and it shot right then straightened again. Dont know if anyone has had this before. Many thanks in advance Simon
errol209
Check the tracking next (use the string method listed in the technical archive section of this forum - dead easy) and then get underneath and give the panhard rod / radius arm bushes a good wiggle with a bar to see if there is any play in them. matthew74
My brother had a similair problem and it turned out to be a dodgey wheel bearing. Jack each wheel and check for play.
Disco-Ron
Check the rear suspension bushes aswell... sounds daft, but rear radius arm bushes being shot can cause this effect!!
