Mark
The wipers don't park on my TD5 Defender... Did a quick search, and found a thread on replacing the park switch This quotes part number 520160 as being the park switch. Can someone confirm that this is the correct part number for a TD5, or is there something more complicated? Cheers Mark
western
AFAIK it's correct for 90/110 upto 2007.

Retroanaconda
To hijack a bit onto Mark's thread here, my 110's wipers seem to work fine in operation (as in they do the correct patterns in terms of operation, and they don't just stop dead when I move the switch), but they appear to never return to the proper location. The sweep is largely reduced too, am I looking at a lot of wear in the wheel boxes? I assume also that it is a crash-pad off job to swap them as well? The giveaway is when you can wipe half the screen by pushing the arm backwards and forwards yourself! Yes, I'd say you have a worn mechanism and yes its a crash pad off job. Retroanaconda
Yup, I can certainly do that! Well one more job to add to the list then
WarPig
Ive had new wiper boxes fitted along with a new wiper motor, but my wipers have developed a similar problem. When I switch them off they suddenly stop instead of parking. I wouldnt expect this to happen seeing as Ive got a new motor fitted?
errol209
No, this shouldn't happen with a new motor, assuming that the self-park switch is also new and the wiring is correct. Was the whole motor and gearbox changed, or just the motor bit?
