Wheel bearing kits

Hello,

I just purchased 2 Bearmach wheel bearing kits, I was under the impression that they used Timkin bearings, but on inspection of the bearings, all there is, is a few numbers and letters. No "Timkin" in sight. I have a few Timkin swivel bearings that have Timkin stamped all over them, so I'm guessing Bearmach bearings are not Timkin ones, can anyone elaborate?

I can't see Timkin not stamping bearings up with there name if they were from them.

Cheers

Mav

If you ask for OE, they will be timken, but without specifying they will most likley supply the cheapest option - which is not timken.

Bermach certainly supply timken bearings, but you do have to ask for (and therefore pay for) OE quality when you order.

This was a boxed "wheel bearing" kit. - so it was pre-made up of components. Not a fan of no name parts, but the bearings don't look to bad. as they're easy enough to change I'll probably fit them up and see how I get on. I've ordered some branded Timkin bearings to keep as spares.

Same is true of most BM parts, ask for OEM every time :)
