DiscoHere
Stilsons or vice grips were no use at all as the original nuts uses were nylon lock nuts. Having rung the top off both shocks i gave up on them. The answer i found in heat. I put a blowlamp on them until the nylon melted and to some extent acted as a lubricant. No problem to remove them using that method. So now i have added the blow lamp to my tool kit of large spanners and lots of hammers for working on Land Rovers.
