renault4
just fitting some tuffback shocks and I read somwhere that it is better to run them without the boots on as its easier to hose them clean after a days off roading, but by leaving them on they can trap mud and grit and start to damage the seal, what do you think? landroversforever
I would run without. Rather have a route for the carp to come off again without being trapped. My procomps aren't booted.
Mo Murphy
I'd leave the boots off, they only fill up with carp and rust the rod. HTH Mo
bishbosh
Well I am going to go the other way - i have always run boots and never had a problem. I think most people's problems with boots surround procomp shocks which are well known for being poorly chromed in the first place.
