Trailer Tyre Pressures please

Hi all, We use a Brain James twin wheel/braked trailer for our 90 gayback comp truck, What should the the tyre pressures be, Ie cold and unloaded, I check um today and there anything between 55 - 86 lbs

Depends on the trailer / wheels. They'll be written on the sidewall.

Probably 95psi/6.5bar but check sidewalls and always have at least one spare.

I would suggest you have a look and see if they have a web info page. The ones on my ifor trailer are about 90-95psi. The side wall pressure is only a max pressure not amrunning pressure.

It should also say what pressure to inflate them to on the sidewall for max load (as well as max pressure).

Our Ifor Williams 3.5 ton beaver tail trailer trailer has 95psi printed on the sidewall (check here on where to find the info)

The table says 87/90 PSI as a guide for 155/70 x 12 depending on speed and axle load but it also depends on the load rating of the tyre which you have not quoted.

e.g . our Ifor is 185/60/R12 104/101 N which 104 is 900Kg for a 3.5T trailer (900Kg x 4 = 3.6T)
