BogMonster
Quite like it? It has orange springs FFS
Les Henson
I always thought that orange paint not only made the material it coated more valuable, but also weaker? The benefit of this being that there's an in-built warning that said coated component needs replacing fairly regularly. I think that producers of orange-coated products are doing us a service. Les. Steve Hiatt
He seems to think he has a special suspension set up specifically for bobtailed Discos with big wheels that want to tow heavy trailers. Has he been sold it on that basis or is he making that up? It would be interesting to ask him what the vehicle weighs which presumably he must have had done for this special suspension. Steve Hiatt
I notice the highest bidder is also from Gloucester and appears to be a motor trader. Running the price perhaps?

Anyone know someone able to do the work and what order of cost might be involved to bobtail? Oh and green paint I allready have the special suspension set up---Wobbly

Kind of like the wear indicators that appear on some types of tyre when the tread is nearly at the legal limit? I see your point Les.... As soon as you see orange on your springs you know they need replacing
Mark
I have to admit that I quite like it too. Not sure about the front end - it's a 200, why make it look otherwise? and the towbar is daft (having put all that effort into increasing the departure angle). However, the bobtailing actually looks quite neat. Mark
