Tris Cocks
I need to service my swivels over the weekend as there is play between 12 and 6, reading the manual it says that i need to use a spring balance to get the resistance measuring between 1.46 and 1.6kg after getting over the initial resistance, The problem is that i havent got a spring balance, is there another way of setting swivel up withough using a spring balance? Cheers Tris
Aragorn
I ended up buying a balance from ebay for a couple of quid and just did it as per manual. I suspect if you did a lot of them you could probably do it by feel.
landroversforever
I bought a spring balance from my local hardware shop. it was a silverline one, and about £3?? or something like that. I agree Aragorn, If you were doing lots on a regular basis you'd be able to do them by feel.

Range Rover Blues
I've used a weight on a string over a pulley before now, it has the advantage of not needing to read the scale on someting that is moving. Later Railko types could be set when new using a torque wrench and an adapter.
