Moving The Servo / Master Cyl ?

Ok....this isn't for a landrover.

I'm a bit short of space so was wondering if my idea of a new brake pedal setup would work.

Uhm.... no... I don't think this works. If that red dot is the fulcrum, you'll push in the rod of the booster but the booster is not connected to the MC so... no assist.

Have you looked into remote servo's? Lockheed does one that's used a lot for brakes and clutches. I want one for the clutch.

don't think you'll get any assistance from the servo with it connected that way, the servo output is where your orange blank is fitted.

It wont work as a mech servo wont apply power to the pedal, it adds power to the pushrod thro it which pushes the master bolted to the case. As an alternative cant you mount a remote hydraulic servo someware.

Sorry, didn't have my brain in gear when i asked. It makes sense that it won't work, or your brakes would keep themselves on...

Lots of medium size trucks (7.5-17.5 ton) have remote servos slung under the chassis. Or you could use the hydroboost kinda setup as seen on quite a few more modern cars. I think some ABS setups dispense with the vacuum servo too, although I could be imagining that (it's past beer-o-clock now ).
