5122
Hello, I've broken the plastic T-junction (several litres of washer liquid up my sleeve ) located under the lower plastic guard of the front bumper (splitting the hose to the left and right washer jet). RAVE doesn't show it, neither does my workshop manual. Would really like a part number for this little bugger please
FridgeFreezer
Hydraulics / pneumatics suppliers should be able to sort you out with something sturdier for not much, a nice bit 'o brass perhaps. Failing that, you may be able to bodge it with garden hose bits from B&Q etc.
5122
You are right, haven't thought about that. So fixed on proper parts and numbers! Thanks
M&S
I went to "motorworld" or whatever they are called now, they sell all of those types of fittiongs for 99p a pack, t's, elbows, straights etc. They are a bit tight but fit fine if you warm the pipe up in boiling water first
5122
Good stuff, thanks for the tip!
Retroanaconda
Or any aquarium shop will have what you need. Ask for a t-piece for an airline. The airline tubing is the same size as the washer jet tubes, in fact my 88" uses aquarium airline tubing bits throughout, the tube, non-return valve and t-piece
5122
Ah, thanks for the aquatic tip! Good stuff!
FridgeFreezer
The aquatic tip may not work for headlamp washers, the hose is much bigger bore (about 10mm / 1/2" from memory) whereas most B&Q / aquatic stuff is 6mm.
Retroanaconda
Aquatic airline tubing is 6mm OD / 4mm ID, so if the headlamp washers are 10mm (~3/8") or 1/2" then that won't work no. However, most aquatics stores should stock T-pieces in those sizes too, I know mine does anyhow. A lot of water features use either 3/8" or 1/2" hose.
