PRSmith
Hi all. I have my own little brake light problem and would appreciate suggestions. I have checked the power in to the brake switch, check. I have checked the power out for the brake light switch with the pedal depressed, check. Yet, not brake lights - either side. The emergency flasher switch does light up the brake lights in the rear. What am I missing. Feels like something between the brake switch and the brake tails lights is broken....where to start looking? I looked up into the cavity at the rear where all the lights pass, nothing obviously broken, shorted, damaged.
western
Sounds like the brake lights are incorrectly connected, they should not be on the Hazard light circuit. IIRC the brake light wire colour code is red with black trace.
Bowie69
I'm thinking @PRSmith may be in the states......? No separate blinker.
