FridgeFreezer
Removing the photos which were blurry, dull, incriminating or unsuitable for children I still have a couple left so here they are: Down at the docks: The original plan, hmmm: HMS Solent, AKA Marvin the Android from H2G2: HMS Victory - yarr! En France - a massive Pont: No prizes for guessing the location: Stopped for a bite in Tours: Another pont: An actual space rocket: ... FridgeFreezer
We're in a tunnel: It was all a bit mountainous round here, but it was also getting dark & a bit cloudy so have the one non-blurry bit of mountainousness: There were also mountain goats/sheep but they came out as small white blurry dots on a big green blur Drive up to Anorra was twisty + foggy + cloudy, the camera could see much further than we could: So we did the only decent thing - stopped in a layby and had a light-sabre fight with LED torches It's the border: Where are we again? One of the few eateries which was open - food was good, hot chocolate was a religious experience: Road back down the hill was less foggy but no less twisty: SURPRISE HORSE!!! Where do you park a UniMog snow-blower? Wherever you damn well please: A random castle all lit up: Carcassonne - was amazing even if everyone was asleep: It's massive: Thankfully there was an absence of gallic taunting and cow-flinging One of the buildings inside the town: Bit of a gap here as I was driving or sleeping or both, so back to a very rainy Le Havre: And 5 hours later, back to the glittering metropolis of Pompey: And that's wot I dun on my holidays

Sirocco
We passed within a mile of a lot of people's houses - can you narrow it down at all? bit late now, but going back to your original idea you would not have technically been in Africa in Ceuta as its a Spanish Enclave, you would have had to drive a further 10 or so miles to the chaos of the border cracking idea though. much like the under 13 day record for London to Cape Town G
battwig
We passed within a mile of a lot of people's houses - can you narrow it down at all? The "rocket" is at the side of the motorway in Toulouse, unless there is another one! I presume you travelled on the A20, we live 2 mins off junction 55 near to Souillac. The kettle is always on if you come down this way again
FridgeFreezer
cracking idea though. much like the under 13 day record for London to Cape Town That sounds like a challenge I reckon even with all the driving etc. it was faster & more pleasant than doing it by Easyjet.
