honitonhobbit
Be careful with antifreeze it's addictive to cats then kills them in agony very quickly http://www.acapree.co.uk/screenwash.html?gclid=CI2DtOvXk64CFRR8fAodHneHIQ Buy screenwash in bulk - on line
ejparrott
Yup, mothers just lost a 3-year old cat to suspected antifreeze posioning. I use Halfords 5 year antifreeze, which proudly proclaims that it has a bittering agent to prevent feline ingestion. There is no legal requirement for manufacturers to do this. Gandalf the Grey
Put some Tesco screenwash in and this morning on way to work at 5-30am had a lovely sheet of ice to look through after trying to clean the windscreen. Didn't freeze in the pipe, but froze as soon as it hit the windscreen.
Steve King
I've never tried Tesco's screen wash, but I would not imagine it to be necessarily bad (after all I have no probs with Lidl's!!) .What concentration are you using?
simonb
Well looking at the collection of bottles in the garage and their labels... Halfords "yellow", neat works to -6C, B&Q ready mix cheapo, -2C. In Tescos this morning, their own brand pink, £4.99 for 2.5L works to -9 neat. They also do a branded one by Prestone which is yellow, works to -10 neat and includes rain repellant in the mix. £7.47 for 4L. Tesco also do an own brand which is blue and cheaper but the freeze point wasn't marked.
