Yup, mothers just lost a 3-year old cat to suspected antifreeze posioning. I use Halfords 5 year antifreeze, which proudly proclaims that it has a bittering agent to prevent feline ingestion. There is no legal requirement for manufacturers to do this.

Well looking at the collection of bottles in the garage and their labels...

Halfords "yellow", neat works to -6C, B&Q ready mix cheapo, -2C. In Tescos this morning, their own brand pink, £4.99 for 2.5L works to -9 neat. They also do a branded one by Prestone which is yellow, works to -10 neat and includes rain repellant in the mix. £7.47 for 4L. Tesco also do an own brand which is blue and cheaper but the freeze point wasn't marked.
