Soundproofing Suitable for Doors

Was looking at fitting some soundproofing inside the doors and was wondering what the most suitable stuff to use is?

Obviously being inside the door it needs to repel moisture as opposed to absorbing it.

Looked at stuff from noisekiller but at £40 for a half sheet seems a bit pricey. Dont even know if its waterproof.

Any thoughts

i have recently rebuilt a 90 for soundproofing (its a 300tdi!!) I used the flashing from Wickes , comes in 6"wide roll

. I also then covered with a 12mm thick closed cell foam (

This appears to be same as LR used to line underside of gear tunnel on my 110 V8 CSW

The two together have made an appreciable difference HTSH

All you are trying to do is to add some weight to flat panels to stop it resonating and drumming. There is a whole science behind it if you start reading on t'interweb but like everything you can make a big difference quite cheaply but gaining that small extra bit of perfection will start to cost a fortune
