ajh
On a 200TDI where do people usually drill/tap on the intake manifold to mount the boost gauge/fuel compensator? I have mine apart at the moment so knowing exactly the best location is a bit tricky. Any photos?
defender dave
i just put it on a tee piece of the turbo and have the controller on the dash .i fitter a boost gauge at the same time.
vulcan bomber
As said, tee into the pipe from the compressor housing to the waste gate or from the waste gate to the injector pump.. That way you know what the turbo is doing.
ejparrott
Yup, mine's tee'd in to the compressor housing. If you specically want it on the inlet to measure the actual boost at manifold and discount hose and cooler loses, then IIRC there is a boss on the outer side of the inlet manifold, certainly on the disco engine. you should be able to drill and tap here
