Doors advice

I got em on mine and would agree with all the above

just out of interest what extra bits did you need to fit them ie, locks, striker plates hinges and the like.

people have talked about antiburst locks although i dont know the difference between these and normal locks :s

Hi,

The old series locks worked on a spring catch that relied on the body remaining rigid and in-line to keep the doors closed. But in the event of a roll over or nasty shunt the doors had a tendency to pop open decanting the occupants.

The anti burst lock works on a different principle of a rolling hook similar to a conventional car lock.

One other to note is that the door stays are different. You can buy the arms and bulkhead brackets new from LR series or alternativley find someone breaking a series 3. The brackets will line up with the existing holes in your bulkhead door pillars so no drilling required there :)
