hissing sid
Hi all, I own a 2000 Freelander TD4S AUTO which hasn"t got a Passenger air-bag. My question is= Is it possible to fit a passenger Air-bag? and if so would my local garage be able to fit it? Knowing how badly Freelanders faired in Euro cap tests I feel it necessary that an Air bag should be fitted to protect my front seat passengers. tim_roberts
Wearing a seat belt is 10 times better than any airbag
Tony-Gravett
Retro fitting air bags you having a giraffe, you might as well say I'll put new tyres on after the winter? Plain and simple NO you can't fit air bags after the vehicle has been manufactured.
western
might not have the wiring or correct fittings, might be worth talking to your nearest LR dealer & ask if they can findout from LR, take the VIN number with you.
EggNChips
Tried this on almostly exactly the same spec of vehicle and it proved to be almost impossible. I ended up just leaving the airbag fitted, but not active.
