eastw77
Hi, Would the drive shafts from a Disco 1 be compatible with a Range Rover Classic? thanks.
ejparrott
By drive shaft do you mean half shaft? I'm not sure they are. My friends hybrid had rangy classic axles under it with 10-spline diffs. We upgraded it to 24-spline diffs from his disco 1, but we had to use all the hubs and stub shafts and half shafts from the disco one - the rangy stuff just wouldn't fit. eastw77
Sorry, I meant prop shafts not drive shafts..
Bowie69
Rear yes, front maybe, if ithe RRC has the Borg Warner transfer box, the front prop will be too long, from 1989 on that was, if it has the LT230 then it will be fine.
eastw77
I have an LT230 so I will be ok. Thanks!
bishbosh
Rear - maybe - does the disco have a rubber doughnut ? If so, it is no good.
eastw77
Why is that? If the length is OK will it still not work?
Bowie69
Good point, 3 bolts rather than 4 -easy to tell! Unless you are swapping the axles from the Disco as well, in which case no problem.
