zoltan
Assuming you are running an MS1 ECU on ignition only is there any need for a TPS?
mickeyw
My megajolt doesn't use TPS, just MAP. Guessing spark only MS would be the same.
zoltan
Thanks, I can't see what purpose the TPS would have. Its role with injection is to indicate that accel fueling is required, no such thing with ignition only. For my sins I've refitted the carb back on my Russian truck just to get the bloody thing running. It's suffering from zero power on MS and I suspect that some aspect of the injection is the problem. Anything from spray pattern to timing of the injection events. I've lost patience with it for the time being. I will resume the battle over the winter. Quagmire
I am running ignition only, no need for tps but you do need a MAP takeoff so Ms knows engine load.
AncientGeek
You might want a TPS if you want to control idle ignition timing separately from the spark table. Not many people seem to bother with it however.
rusty_wingnut
Is it possible to wire in a lambda to see carb tune?
Bowie69
I don't see any reason why not at all.
