Boris113
A friend has asked me to have a look at their 300tdi disco which has been parked up for 2 years. I went to have a look at it yesterday and all seems ok, but the battery in the alarm fob has died so the vehicle wouldn't start because the immobiliser can't be turned off (little dash light comes on when you try to turn the key) If I change the battery will it re-set anything? I remember having a complete nightmare with a TD5 one a couple of years ago so thought I best check! Thanks, Harry
BogMonster
Change the battery and press the unlock button repeatedly and slowly (say 2 sec between presses) until it syncs and unlocks/flashes the indicators. The book says it takes 4 presses but 15 or 20 is often more like it.
steve b
Is it the same for single button 300tdi fobs? cheers Steveb

BogMonster
If that doesn't work it isn't unknown for them to forget the code, mine did it once or twice, 5 min on the computer to reprogram it fixed mine.
