Mean Green
I had my clutch replaced about 9 months ago as I could not select any gear. With the engine switched off it would select all gears no problem, but with the engine running it would not select anything - with a really hard push an a lot of crunching it could be forced into a gear - so I had the clutch replaced. It has started happening again - clutch pedal feels normal, but I cannot get a gear with the engine running. Help!!
western
has the master cylinder pushrod been adjusted, always worth checking after a clutch or master cylinder change.
Maverik
What was the problem in the first place?
Mean Green
Not sure about the Master cylinder, the garage I used knows Land Rovers and I assume they would have done it - but maybe not!. The original problem was the clutch plate - one of the springs on the clutch plate was completely missing. I will get it back to them and see what they can turn up. Maverik
hmmm, unless the missing spring was jamming the clutch plate, I can;t really see that, that would cause siad problems to be honest.
Mean Green
Cheers Mav Will see what the garage turn up. There is also a very bad bang/judder esp in reverse, feels like something slipping so hopefully they can get to the bottom of that too.
