Discochris Posted March 31, 2013 Share Posted March 31, 2013 Hi people hope your all having a good Easter My discovery single button fob has just died completely it ain't the battery sadly Looking on flea bay I've seen a lot of two button fobs on there So my question is would I be able to use one of them or do I have to do a lot of changing of ecus to make one work? Maverik Posted April 1, 2013 Share Posted April 1, 2013 I've looked at this and as far as I could tell the old system (single button) wireing is not compatible with the (2 button) wireing. You can get new 1 button fobs on fleebay, and there is a procedure for programming them to your specific vehicle (its online somehwere) but for it to work your whole alarm system has to be fully working... i.e central locking can be activated when you pu tthe key in the door etc...
