white90
new one is the only option! they can be purchased from the States cheaply (compared with UK prices) or a breakers the S2 one has acompass as well IIRC like this item on fleabay: 170029802546 I got one from a late RR Classic with lights in and fitted that. take the old one out before the goo gets on the dash as it is hard to get out and stains. Kev Baldwin
Replacement is the only cure. Old style D1 mirror no longer available through LR. D1 mirror has now been superceded by D2 auto-dipping mirror. D2 mirror fits straight onto D1 winsdscreen bracket. Warning: New LR price £130.00! When mine went, it took a couple of months of waiting for a D2 mirror to come up on eBay, but the £35 I paid made the wait worth it!
freeagent
does the D2 mirror require any kind of electrical feed?
BogMonster
Mine hasn't nor does it auto-dip - just an ordinary ole mirror that has me in it when I look at it no silly compasses or leaky fluids
Kev Baldwin
If it's the std mirror then no. If it's an auto dipping model then yes. It'll need a Pos and a Neg wires plus a feed from reverse that cancels the dipping facility when reverse gear is selected. Kev

Andy
just throw it away? as long as you have a nearside mirror i believe its legal to run without an inside mirror.
