Mean Green
The rear tub on my 200tdi lets it down - badly bubbled. So where is the best place to get a replacement (and how much am I likely to pay) - I am thinking late TD5 or Puma from a station wagon with the bulkhead bar. I have had a look on Ebay etc but only seem to find Utility type with bulkheads.
Aragorn
I looked for ages for a CSW one, but couldnt find one at sensible money. It was more cost effective to buy a standard one, and buy the bulkhead removal bar seperately. ebay, the big 4x4 breakers, or trying your luck at the likes of sodbury or the various shows is your best bet i'd imagine. I paid 80 for one from a ~2002 truck, bit of rust and corrosion here and there and a dink/bent bit near the fuel filler. I'd expect to pay more like 200-300 for a perfectly streight one in pristine condition.
Retroanaconda
Remember if buying a later (Td5 onwards) tub the fuel filler is in a different location, so you'll need to either adapt it to fill the under-seat tank or take the opportunity to fit a Td5 fuel tank. Mean Green
Thanks for the replies. The fuel tank issue was going to be my next question.. can the filler be modified?
Aragorn
I've chosen to use a TD5 tank so i didnt have that issue.
Les Brock
There's some picture in my build thread, no reason why that could not be done on the side ! I used a early 90 and needed a filler at the rear, the complete opposite of what you need
