stephenburbidge
My spare key fob has stopped locking & unlocking the doors remotely on my L332 It works perfectly in the actual lock and starts the vehicle ok. Does anyone know if this can be programmed easily or is it a couple of hundred squid at the dealers?
Bowie69
1) Get in and close all doors. Turn ignition on and off quickly and remove the key (all within about 5 seconds).2) Within 30 seconds of turning the ignition off, while holding down the "unlock" button, press the "lock" button three times. Release the "unlock" button. (You may or may not get the confirmation from the door locks.) Holding the key at your head level provides best results as the key sensor is in the side window pillar.3) Repeat for each key you want to initialize within 30 seconds after the last one you initialized (if you have more).4) Right after doing the last key, quickly put the key back in the ignition and turn it on/off again to finalize. From rangerovers.net forum, they tend to know about this sort of thing: http://www.rangerovers.net/forum/6-range-rover-mark-iii-l322/24149-l322-key-not-working.html

You missed that you have to be rubbing your tummy & patting your head at the same time as doing all this! The last replacement key I had for my RR, a local key place (Timpsons) did it. £100, including the key & fob. 6 years on, still works perfectly.
