RPR
Last Weekend at Ma Bell in Massachusetts Had some carb problems. Here I have flooded and I'm trying to get down a steep slope with no power - thus the strop and help: For some perspective - camera doesn't give any sense of the grade - here's a fellow who had some trouble in exactly the same place a few minutes later: Better shot of the hill from below:

Diff
Hi Richard, looks great! Though a bit scary going down with no engine power I imagine! I believe that you have a 4 barrel carb on the engine. I have heard that even with the 'offroad' kit fitted to them, they are still prone to problems offroad. Twin SUs are better in this respect. You could of course fit an LPG (Propane) kit to what you have got. LPG is fantastic offroad, very smooth, no hiccups whatsoever and will run at any angle and not stumble if the going gets bumpy. Loads of smooth torque low down too. Regards, Diff

The "offroad" seats and needles for the Weber / Edlelbrock carb are 8 quid, so I'll see if I can live with that out before thinking about 800 quid for an LPG conversion.... SteveG
Better shot of the hill from below: Looks like you had fun Thanks for the pics, knowing how cameras always seem to make a gradient significantly less I take it that it was steep! Cheers Steve
