200Tdi Radiator

Yes, single pass means the water goes into one tank, through the tubes to the other. Each tank has a hose connection.

Double pass has two tanks, but one tank has both the pipes. (this tank is divided in two by a soldered in plate)

Why? The double pass behaves like a radiator half as wide, but twice as long. The water has to go twice as fast so it is naturally more turbulent in the tubes and passes its heat energy to the tubes easier. Down side is that it takes more pumping. I guess they tested and found the benefits of double pass worked well with a landy engine :)

Cheers guy's. The guy in the motor factors said the double pass is no longer available anyway.

Just had a look & the top hose is passengers side and bottom hose is on the opposite sides of the rad so guess that's a single pass rad then where as my 300Tdi the hoses are both on the passengers side making it a double pass rad have I got that right
