Mutley
Well just took x2 hinges off and replaced with new! So liking the DRILL 'EM OUT method really has made life easier!!! If the other x2 go as well as this, i'll be 1 happy LR owner

Ericthefish
my new hinges come with torx bolts instead of crosshead bolts much better and should be easier to come off again in the future
Mutley
I didn't Mo, but they turned out just as easy, fare to say one of the stress free and simple jobs I have ever done on the Landy! So if in doubt DRILL 'EM OUT! Sooooooo much less hassle and no effort require not a grunt or a groan

Souster
Sorry to dig this thread back up guys. I was looking into fitting new hinges this afternoon. And was going to buy the TD5 type. Untill I saw what Retroanaconda put regarding the newer style hinges being a different shape, Therefor leaving an area of no paint/old paint around the new style hinge. Are they different shims to avoid this? Or is it a case of repainting in order to avoid it looking wrong.
reedx
Who are SGS 4x4? Like the sound of the galv hinges, but my Google Fu is letting me down. Colin
MrKev
I found a PZ4 bit to be just the right size by the way. Kev
