Simon_CSK Posted May 29, 2015 Share Posted May 29, 2015 For a long time I have occasionally needed to crawl under me Disco TD5 to push in the cable to the solenoid to get the car to start. This would happen maybe once a month or once every 6 weeks. Now the car will not start because of this has anyone had the same problem if so how did you fix it? BogMonster Posted June 14, 2015 Share Posted June 14, 2015 Before people invented repair kits we used to rebuild them here by making a set of contacts out of copper earth strap. A vice, a junior hacksaw and a round and square files, along with a bit of patience, and all sorted. But definitely easier to buy a kit if it's only a tenner!
