need4speed
The starter on my Bosch starter has 2 connections on the solenoid: An 8mm stud, and a male spade terminal. The spade is obviously for the 3mm starter relay cable. Am i correct in thinking then that the main cable from the battery AND the main alternator cable both go to the 8mm stud? vulcan bomber
Yes, all the heavy brown and the red battery positive go onto the stud.

Inigo
On a (slightly) related note, I had upgraded my alternator to 100 Amp and was looking for some suitable fatter cable in the appropriate brown colour, but could only find red at the larger sizes (checked VWP, Autosparks and Polevolt). Made do with 2 x 63 Amp brown cable. Anyone know where I could source fatter brown cable, or would two lengths of thinner cable be fine? western
when I had my alternator from 65 to 100amp, the garage used 2 lengths of cable the same size as the original, it has been fine, added a much thicker cable between starter & alternator.
