muddy4x4xfar Posted July 22, 2015 Share Posted July 22, 2015 hi all, I'm about to do a conversion a 200tdi to a 3.9 v8 engine, ill be looking to sell the 200tdi engine with radiator intercooler starter turbo, alternator power steering pump also has zircon pump as well, etc, on average how much would you say its worth , it had a new head gasket with skimmed cylinder head 5000mile ago or there about, its always had land rover full service equipment whilst ever i have had it - 11years now, and a rebuilt turbo also about 5000 miles ago. Mike the vehicle has done 160 odd thousand miles, its never had an engine change whilst ever iv had it and looking at it when i bought it it looked like the original. its been serviced every 8000 miles . dirtyninety Posted July 23, 2015 Share Posted July 23, 2015 My friend sold a 150k Defender 200tdi to a French man for £600. Id advertise it as a "buy it now" on ebay for £700! Im under the impression, due to French motoring laws, they cannot replace an engine with a modern equivalent, it has to be like for like.
