neil3728
I have a Landrover 110 fitted with a desco 200tdi engine. I have a small leak on the cooling with is coming form the bottom rad hose where it joins the engine. Is there a difference between the disco and the defender engines when ordering the hose and if so which one is best for my car. Want to order the right one to save the Mrs having a go at my again. Many thanks Neil
ejparrott
It's been a while since I looked at a defender version but I thought they were different, what does the one you've got look like?
vulcan bomber
Discovery water pumps face the floor to accept the bottom hose, Defender points at about 8oclock. With it being a conversion chances are you have a bodged hose to make it fit. If you can post a pic we can probably help a bit more.
neil3728
Mine points to the ground as that's where it's leaking from the jubilee clip seems to have given up the ghost. I'll try to get some picture tonight.

Lewis
Unless your engine is mounted well forward or your radiator well back the disco hose will be of no use as it will be too short. I would suggest, as others have said, that the hose you have fitted in likely to be made up of two or more different hoses cut and shut with a joiner. If you post a couple of pics we can try to identify it If you want a one price hose Steve Parker Land Rovers so a set of cooling hoses which are custom made to suit a disco engine in defender. The only caveat is that you cannot use a viscous fan with them https://www.steveparkers.com/product/spck239-bottom-radiator-hose-for-200-tdi-discovery-into-90-or-110/
neil3728
Just talked to my friend who I bought the car from , he has confirmed the old pipe was from Steve Parker, hence why I have no viscous fan.
