miketomcat
Looks like keanol (spelling maybe wrong) I think it was castrol and now discontinued. If it is it's a water resistant grease that was used on boat trailers and in the marine industry. Mike

mmgemini
By it's a long time since I saw that type of grease. I may have a baccy tin with some in. The bus company I worked for had to keep the steering drop earms polished for the traffic commisioner. After polish that type of grease was used to cover then. As Mike says it was a water repelant grease. Hang on, isn't all grease water repelant.

Yolandi
cool, just one more question, iv got a push on adapter from the net but little to no grease actually goes in and almost all of it just leaks out betweent he adapter and nipple,
miketomcat
Blocked nipple? Get a pin or bit of wire to press the ball in they jam from time to time. Mike
jason110
Make sure the adapter coupling is nice and tight. Normally you can rotate the collar so that the four collets are slack or tight around the nipple when grease is applied. The pressure from the pumping action should tight the collets onto the nipple. I'm assuming your grease nipple is blocked up.
neil110
had similar problems with a later (post '94) 110 where the yokes have to be in a particular position in order for the grease gun to fully engage on the nipple. I got round it in the end by buying a nipple that is about 25mm long. I only fit it when I am greasing the props, the rest of the time I put a grub screw in the UJ
