Yolandi
hi, does anyone know what the injector drain pipes are made of? i think it might be nylon but im asking if anyone has a data sheet or something
Ex Member
For what engine? Originally nylon was used for all fuel lines. Some spill rail lines changed to buna-N because of vibration issues causing the fitting to loosen with the stiffer nylon.
Yolandi
for 200tdi, the lines do feel like nylon, mine are slowly cracking so im going to replace them probably with coloured pipes to match the sillicone turbo pipes
western
the spill return between injectors on my 200tdi are fuel proof rubber tube, bought my current tube from halfords as the original was leaking after 20 years of use.
reb78
Same as mine Ralph ^^^^^^^ . They dont last as long in my experience though (although that might be down to the SVO in mine), so worth keeping an eye on them and a couple of sections in the car somewhere for emergencies.
