mcc1979ian
Evenin. Just wondering what grade and size bolts you guys use to mount a recovery point through the chassis rear crossmember, cheers
Lewis
My nato hook is held on with 4 8.8 M12 bolts
western
8.8HT steel nothing less will cope, 10.9HT if you can source some are even better, plus spreader plate on inside at the minimum.
Maverik
As Ralph says, I'd probably say the spreader plate is the key thing, bolt quality doesn't matter if the bolts get pulled through the relatively thin plate. Using a relatively standard 8.8 grade steel or A2/A4-80 grade Stainless bolt or equivalent would do you - also making sure they torqued up correctly too. ejparrott
As above, M12 8.8 is standard
