  1. will that be zero overhang (90) or extra long as mentioned, 96 is perilously close to the magic 100
  2. Now that its been raining how many of you are reminded of the dreadful noise one or both of your wipers make. So what do you do. Well you change the blades of course. Yes thats better!!! but hey theres actually nothing wrong with the old ones theve just gone a bit harder than new ones.SAVE YOUR MONEY!!!!!!!!!! Now the science bit. turn the ignition on, turn the wipers on, when they get to the point they are upright turn the ignition off qiuck. now say eg drivers side, look at the way the blade approaches (sits on) the glass. If the blade were 90 degrees to the glass surface it would sweep equally both ways, but its not is it? thats why it only judders on the upward stroke, because its chopping into the glass as apposed to being dragged across the glass on the downward stroke. SOLUTION with the afore mentioned blade in its upright position, attatch a pair of mole grips the wiper arm approx midway along its length wilst standing by the wing so the handle is pointing to you,and firmly bend (rotate)the handle towards the screen so as to square up the blade with the glass. Jump back in side and see if the blade is 90 degrees to the screen , if not bend a little more. NO MORE JUDDER. QUIET WIPERS . sorry if its a bit long winded but its difficult to explain.
  3. be good wouldnt it. an option on the 90, with the extra overhang like a 110, with the tank in the back, so youd get a 90 wheelbase but with an extra 10" ish of load bed space, farmers an school mums would luv it but not you extreme departure angle guys! I've never seen it done but I have taken a side picture of a 110 at cut and shut the photo. TRY IT it looks SOOOO different. WHY didnt LR (RIP) ever do this. ALSO why dont SANTANA do a 90 (or would it be 88)
  4. Hi! wat about those rotating circular ones that gas board vans and dog handlers vans have on the roof , they even spin when the truck is stationary in the breeze, so keeping your truck vented all the time with the windows shut. try caravan acc. shop or truck shop!
  5. i take it you must have sold your green and white 110, often saw it down on the hill. Moroco?????? u lukky bugger!!!!!!!!!!. we' ll have to meet up sometime, im almost a stones throw away. my new 110 should arrive next week!! they lost the log book! typical. sounds like you got yourself a nice truck. U keeping it as a car or tricking it up!!!!
  6. sorry! when i said i'd found a possible candidate, i meant a replacement truck, not the thief!!!!
  7. hello folks, after the loss of my truck i've been scouring the countryand have found a possible candidate. Now the question is it's got an immobiliser thing with a small plug like a phone charger that de-activates it. question 1 how often does this go wrong, question 2 how theif proof is it to the determined thief. I presume its a landrover fitment but not sure. alsothe chap recommends a disclok from halfords that goes around the steering wheel, about 50.00 says it took him an hour to get one off, ended up using an air saw.(the owner had lost her keys!) Agiain how good are these. Was there ever a show down with all the different anti theft gizmo's in any magazine, with time to get the vehicle away type thing. I know there ae some very knowlegable people out there and I'm asking for advise, and yes I know i cant spell!!!
  8. yuu're all too inventive fou your own good. This hand brick thing well i've just invented one for a lightweight. !!!!!!!!!!! yes its a half brick!!!!!!!!!
  9. Speaking of time team, one of their 110's passed me the other day london bound on m20 by maidstone, full up, flat out and swaying a bit in t'breeze. looked nice truck!!!!!!!!! didnt see mr robinson though, perhaps he was under the bonnet stoking the boiler!!!!!!!!!!!!

  11. Hi saw an article in total off road, and the guy said they were the best off road tyre, for the money he had ever had!!! then 3 months later he had on hankook mt and said they didnt dissapoint either, if he lost out marginally on grip to the chacos he gained 2 mpg and a quietre ride with the hankooks , maybe look on their website or i 've still got the write up I think, cheers ,,, stumpy!!!!!!!!!!!
  12. not AT ALL old chap!!!!!!! i would buy at sodbury if it was a good deal, I'm no saint matey, I was just opening it up to the forum for discussion, i'm not full of sanctimonious clap trap. If you cant enter a debate without slinging poo then join the labour party and be one of Blairs henchmen.. Lighten up dude!!!!!!!!!
  13. Hello folks. I was out looking for a new truck today and was told by one dealer that they had 2 stolen off their premises, at about 9.30 tuesday, (same time as mine). Apparently they cut down a tree at the back of the yard to make an escape route and drove off with 2, whilst the garage was still open. NOW every body goes to sodburyto buy something, and that something has a good chance of comimng off someoneelses truck. Anonther dealer told me you Know some of the stuffs pinched ie a whole landrover in red , bits on about 6 differet stalls around the site and all the same shade, and all the dealers spoke in a liverpool accent. I 've nothing against any one from liverpol, its just a comment that was made to me. Now the point is, I think this recent spate of thefts just before sodbury is to much of a coincidence. Are the huge crowds and the vast somes of money that change hands feeding this crime spree!!. Without something as vast as sodbury would the thefts be on such a vast scale. Afterall if you buy a nice winch for £200 complete off a bloke with a wooden leg and a parrott on his sholder are you going to ask him for a reciept!!!!!!!!. And why the big police presence???????? Now this is a forum so over to you!!!!!!!!!!
  14. Thanks guys!!!!!! its really great to hear so many freindly voices. was thinking of not getting another one, as i'd prob have to spend 7500-8000 to get one as good but obviously later model. chssis was minging, engine was the nuts. still watching "a place in france" last night watching that guy running round in a 110 sw all over the mountains in the snow , I STILL WANT ONE. probably a sw now. I think they stole it to order thinking it was a real Camel, there is a real one about 2 miles from me, so maybe they took the wrong one. Tanks guys and girls.
  15. As you say it must be the sodbury smash up. from out side my home last night Camel trophy coloured 110 hardtop with 2 large windows each side. reg no C716 VUY black camel bull bar. brownchurch roof rack thats been cut down so its only flat no upstand. bush wires, isuzu 2.8 radiator has a BURGINS & SONS sticker on it with their phone no. truck has side lockers,as its ex mil. 2 LARGE X ENG stickers in back windows, back door has disco. wheel mount on red allum, spreader bolted through to x plate internally. camel coloured wheels with track edge 750x16. this truck was sprayed inside and out. chassis is layered with old oil. paint coming off on the vent flaps under screen, and u can see the milt paaint . i hope one of their family DIES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  16. HI simon, although this is suposed to be the dogs blx, of an engine, called the unijet, I've heard that a bored out 2.7 mondeo lump is to be used.
