Awesome as always!
Quick question......
When Sid is on the straight and level it looks like only an inch ish until axle hits bump stop.
Could that be an issue when driving any undulating terrain?
Can you trim the bump stop, or it has to be that long to protect the shocks?
Seems a shame there is so much flex but bugger all up travel.
As above but use the probe type applicator to thoroughly apply paint to the inside before wax.
After I repaired my rotten bulkhead, I turned it upside down, blocked off all the holes and filled it with zinc rich primer.
Left it for an hour ish then tipped out the excess. Confident everything inside is coated.
After final external paint I will do the same with Tectyl 506.
Here in Australia there is a saying.....
Put it in the too hard box......
Means you put the difficult/unpleasant jobs right until the very end, when you absolutely have to do them....ðĪŠ
Unacceptable lack of posts.....ð
We are all lacking your entertainment Stephen.....
Is Sid finished and you're driving him aroond them there hills? ðĪŠ
Cheers
Dave
Hey Stephen,
Looking good as always.....
But...... Galvanic corrosion on the earth strap connections..... (it will start where the ss bolt touches the ally panel and moisture is present)
Maybe use some boaty stuff like Tef-Gel or maybe Anti Seize/coppersilp or similar.
Australia day here! ðĪŠ
Cheers
Dave
My top tip is go to your local wreckers (scrap yard) find an older estate car.
Modern cars have skinny wires for Can bus shenanigans....
Locate the main fuse box and cut the loom that goes to the back of the car.
You end up with a range of gauges and heaps of different colours.
They only charge $10 here. Grab a couple and you're all set.
Also pull every fuse (they fit in your pocket!) ð
If I was in the UK I would do a road trip.....
Done many one off looms..
I did a custom loom for a Landie from scratch years ago. Two halfish days....
If no one volunteers I am sure you will nail it Stephen!
Ho Ho Ho and all that!
It's Christmas morning here in Aus!
28 degrees and maybe a thunderstorm this arvo! ðĨķ
It will be awesome.
I know it's not your style, buuuut, Is there not a local plasma cutting place (or laser cutting)
It would be 10 minutes designing it on screen, then 1 minute cutting it out.
Cheers
