  2. hi all i picked up my disco on sat all ok drove 180 miles on sunday then yesterday started having big probs getting into gears now the full clutch was repleced last march (done 17k since) but the garage is saying the original warranty is with the purchaser not the car so its no longer valid?? is this correct? sounds wrong to me rob

  8. hi all i have got my self a 98 300 tdi manual its a great drive and all that but after my rangie it looks like its got mini wheels on it but swmbo says no lift or big tyres on this so im thinking of putting 255 65 16 tyres on it to try and fill the arches a touch more and as they are only 3mm taller she wont notice (lol yeah right) but will give it a wider footprint to look a bit chunkyer if you get what i mean but want to know if anyone else has put these on and do they rub any where?? rob

  11. well i got my disco today and its a 98 model year as it has the high level stop lamp and the black boost alloys mine has 4 stop/tail lights but only 2 indicators in the bumper??? is it a plug and play job of just changing the rear upper lamps or will i need to run wires to the lamps too? rob

  13. i got them off a guy on ebay who had lots of them (i belive all sold now tho?) and i never fitted mine as im selling the car to get a diesel but have just sold them on rob o and welcome aboard chap!!!

  15. hi all the tdi 300 i tried yesterday seemed a little stiff to go from 2nd to 3rd when very cold anfter doing the shift twice eased up fine ?? is this normal and just wanting a oil change or the start of something a bit more serious?? as a side note its a 98 r reg es so would i be right in thinking this will have a r380 gearbox?? thanks rob
  16. looks like it will be getting the cambelt done sooner than i thought then still it needs a water pump anyway so have a one hit day on it rob

  18. hi all whats the age/milage intervalfor a 300 tdi cam belt change? its a 98 manual if that makes any difference rob

  21. well the one i looked at had a leaking fuel tank and rotten fuel pipes so skip that one then lol and a noisey clutch release bearing too but drove ok in a soulless way and seemed to pull well so wouldnt mind one now lol rob
  22. well this pretty much seals the deal then looks like im swapping the rangie for some ugly as sin isuzu pooper lol rob ps what sort of job is the cambelt on one of these????
  23. wow looks like the rangie might be making way for a pooper then so is the mileage of 127k nothing to worry about with one of these then?? rob
  24. yes i know the shame is killing me does any one know how reliable a izusu trooper is? the car in question is a 95(ish) 3.1 td swb manual with 127k on it any problems to look for? are they a good strong tow car? i know they are not in the same interior comfort league as the rangie but i cant have every thing thanks chaps rob
