  1. Im after a wiring diagram or Pin layout for the CD multi changer (Genuine) in a 2002 disco with the base stereo head unit. Anybody got it or have any idea where I might find it? Cheers. Steve.
  2. You want to hope I dont find your tent on Sat night or I will have my revenge!!!!!
  3. "Should I stay auto?" Yes, Recently changed to auto and its the best thing ive done.
  4. Got a cracked headlamp lens on my D2 and just happen to have some facelift D2 headlamps available for next to nothing. I understand that its a commonly done conversion that involves some simple cutting of the front panel. Has anyone here done it and can they tell me what's involved and what else I may need? I have the trim that goes below the headlight, Anything else? Cheers. Steve.
  5. Mmm, 4 stub axles but only 2 modified hubs???? I would assume by that the rear hubs are still usable despite the larger stub axle just with some different bearings fitted. Whats the difference that makes this possible with the rear hubs but not with the front?
  6. Ah yea, Sorry for covering you Paul ! Steve. P.S. Who was second on the first SS and what was the time. Cant see a 480pts for it any where in the results.
  7. An excellent event. Many thanks to all those who put hard work into setting up and making it all happen. Dont think we have ever been so well looked after. Just washed the truck and its never been so dirty, took ages to wash and even longer to clear up the half a field that was left underneath it. The special stages were brilliant (Although they are fast becoming my favourite part of the events) and the punch's were good and not too damaging (Although it was pretty impressive how Dan and Adrian managed to completely trash Dans car in one weekend ) All in all a good weekend. Truck was faultless on its first competitive outing other than the snapped rope on Saturday night. The end pulled so tight into the drum we had to go from the top of the site right back to the camp and cut it off to fit a new rope, Slightly annoying. Very impressed with the Mega squirt, Bonnet depth water and no problems. Despite the weather a fantastic weekend. Need to get sorted for the RFC now Again, Cheers to all. Steve.
  8. Damn, Theres no getting around it, Im gona have to make my lights point the right way!
  9. Excellent, Will that include lots of JD and doing the Conga If ya lucky you might get to help me to my tent again
  10. Think Bob was looking for someone for the CRAG team!!! Otherwise now that the Tay isn't on might there be enough to make an AWDC team?? If there's any team places left!
  11. Just had a quick read through the thread but couldn't find the info I was looking for. Is there going to be a night stage and if so is it likely to be after dark? So the real question should be, Will I need to sort some decent lights for the truck, Mines a bit cross eye'd at pressent (and with the work load I have to get the truck ready I dont think I'll have time to sort them). Cheers. Steve.
  12. Looking for a D2 Td5 mainly as a general run around come tow vehicle. I Know of a 5dr commercial for sale. As far as I can see the lack of rear seats wont be a problem but if it is and I do decide I need some more seating space is there any reason I cant fit a rear seat and seat belts? I assume all the necessary wells and fixing points will be in the floor, It would simply be a case of removing the bulk head and flat section of floor and fitting seats? Anyone done it? Only issue I can see is I dont quite know How the interior trim would work out if you remove the bulk head? Cheers. Steve.
  13. Actually, He's probably right ! So no idea's then????
  14. Its more a case of branch's pushing on them bending the tags. They do bend very easily with very small branch's
  15. As it says. Im fed up of cheap headlamp bowls. The only ones I can find just have small tags screwed behind the chrome ring to hold the sealed beam/H4 headlamp unit. These bend very easily leaving the headlamps loose in there mountings. Also the adjusters in the plastic bowl's dont stand up to a lot of abuse. I seem to remember the older ones had a complete rig in front of and behind the headlamp which sandwiched together with screws. Are these still available?? They seem much more robust. Any recomendations??? Cheers. Steve.
  16. Just looking to buy a Td5 auto D2 and I quite like it. It has all the toys, Drives and handles very well, The auto and the Td5 seem to suit each other reasonable well, Its far from fast but goes OK and seems to change at the right time and reasonably quickly so all is good. My only reservation is the Auto for towing. I reasonably often tow the challenge truck which is, including trailer, spares, tools etc over 3 ton. What does the auto behave like when towing heavy loads? Has the Td5 enough power to cope with auto when towing close to its max weight, Both on steep up hills and at motorway speed without lots of revving and the gearbox messing about? How will the gear box stand up to heavy towing? Anybody with experience of this that can give me some idea before I part with hard earned cash? Many thanks. Steve.
  17. Cheers, The rest of the truck (Air intake, brake res etc) are all sorted as the truck has seen some proper deep water in the past (well up the windscreen deep), its only the bits concerned with the diesel to V8 conversion im worried about. Is there an issue with the oil filler cap's? Thought they looked like they were OK. pipe work from flame trap to plenum is in good condition.
