Hi there just thought i'd add my two pence worth on this subject Just hgaving done mine this weekend just gone. After much searching, comparing prices aswell as listening to horror stories!! i went for the d44 rear crossmember with winch tray, as i was gonna fit a rear winch aswell. The guy who fitted mine has fitted a few & said it's the best fitting one he has ever done!! Lined up lovely & was fully welded & made from 6mm steel (so should last for ages) Old 1 off & new one fitted within 2 hours!! They were on special from i think £590 down to £355 inc vat! (don't know if they still are??) I know it's alot of money but a freind fitted a britpart one last year which he had to do alot of making good on & gave it 6 coats of paint as well. but a year down the road & there's rust spot's comming through already?? not good For a half decent standard one you are looking at about £200 delivered anyway's, so didn't think it was that much dearer!!

I got myself a 200 tdi 90 last year as an upgrade to the Dicovery series 1 i had. i done the rear axle swap as the 90 had drum brakes. the axles swapped straight over with no issues. think it's the 300tdi Disco that has the dohnut?? but not the 200 or series 1 witchever you want to call em. The only thing you will have to do is turn the "Y" block main feed for the brake pipes round as the 90's come from the opposite direction. I changed the A frame as well while i was there as well. I'm the tyreman mentioned that helped out with these!! I would just like to say although they do the job superbly & are cheaper! They are a right pain to do and take a considerable amount of time to doo!! Where as Staun's maybe more money, they do not take as long to sort
