  1. Thanks for that lads.

You would not believe the problems I've had with a rebuilt modified engine with all the special bits, and I just did not want loads of silicone etc just yet.

I'm looking forward to my first challenge event, Ive tried most of the other things but not challenges, this is why Saleys on me case.

Hope to put faces to some of the names. ^_^

  2. Just wondered if anyone knows the site at Mawsley Furze and just out of intrest is there much water there, only asking because i've not done any waterproofing yet, and I know you don't know Saley.

Its taken that long to get it running right I did not want to coat everything in silicone just yet if there's still a problem waiting to re-occur.

One day I might see sense and fit a diesel, but not yet.

  3. Hey Saley or is it Wailey?:hysterical:

Ned's Range Rover axled 200TDi is hardly a standard series 2 is it?

If he doesn't run you over, I definately will, :hysterical::hysterical::hysterical:

Yes the lads a good driver, but he has had an excellent tutor, and I must take credit for that! :P

We will see who's got the goods at the score count won't we? (oh god help me keep my big mouth shut)

I will be lloking forward to a lesson from the experts and will probably be eating humble pie (I've all the other pies).

    TTFN

  4. There's a rumor that Nedley and Saley could be having change of roles and using Ned's motor!

Is there any comments from Saley?

Will the V8 deafen his cries?

Will Ned run Saley over? (cause payback must be due)

Will Ned pull a tree on top of Saley?, that would be justice to.

Will Ned b*****k Saley all day for no reason?

Could be worth watching this one :hysterical::hysterical::hysterical::hysterical:

  5. Have yer got any details of the Hotel, and will they take a trailer on the car park do you know?

I hate to think somebody pinched four cylinders whilst i was loafing in bed, just as I've got em all back, I'd be gutted.

Sent me cheque off this morning so I'm getting excited now, just got to sweet talk Saley about something first them I should be ready.

  6. Now that's the V8 is running most of the time on all 8 and things are looking better and round 2 of the Clubman coming up if the "Big Green Thing" that now the Blue 'n'Silver thingy is going down the M6/M1 to Kettering?

Cause' somebody threw the gauntlet down and called certain people "pussys" (which is quite true) and said person, has suffered enough, so its time me thinks, even though it not perfect due to fuel pressure problems which will be sorted out by June come what May. :P

  7. Lets get this straight for the record,

In this instance said driver (aka twiggy) was not at the helm but was stood by offside rear corner shouting to son (who was on section at a trail), "go on son give it some" totally unaware of tree interrupting path on nearside, son being dutyfull and well trained in always obeying the last instruction, proceeded to "give it some" as directed, result in photo, photo was then sent to fat a**e for his enjoyment, but not intended for future use in ridiculing twiggy.

Twiggy will not, or has not, ever scratched or put foot wrong in his motor because said vehicle never starts or leaves garage!

    Beware boys twigsters ready

  8. Hi Dan,

Your welcome around for a brew or what have any time mate, live on the Biddulph side of town (keeping out the clayheads) if you're coming give us a ring first make sure were in.

You did well at the weekend and were very impressive, what I did find its very hard and frustrating being a spectator but equally its good fun with all the banter and it gives you a good chance to weigh up the job for next time because theres always other ways you didn't see at first that are probably a lot q

  10. I think its 99dB at 1 metre from the tailpipe running at two thirds of the engines maximum revs and must have at least the same amount of silences as manufactured, mine 4.6 V8 was 109dB at tickover, end of event, earbleeder but nice.

Add jubilee clips to stop suspension springs detaching for the day and you will pass scrutineering if dislocators are fitted.

Make sure bumpers don't offer any advantage over standard, length and height and width etc, and I think if they're on a 90 etc they have got to be 3" deep and parallel to the body, check regs, i've been measured a few times with alternative bumpers.

Total offset of wheel must not exceed 4" or 100mm from outer edge of hub, most do, but some Mach 5's don't, they had a considerable debate on mine last year and told me they were only just 4 inches I was lucky, its funny i had them made at four inches wasn't that lucky, but only just 4 inches.

But don't forget to smile, you're there to have fun.

    Good luck

  11. Now then Saley, is that a bite ?

Just got it back on 8 all eight sweet as a nut, 2 ECU's, 8 injectors, 1 loom, 1 airflow meter, 1 bypass valve stepper, another temp sender and full strip down and rebuild of all inlet/injection gear, but got me original uneveness on tickover when hot back which is where i was last Friday, last thing is the new fuel pump which does make some strange noises.

So ready for round 2 without a doubt, but not this Sunday, bit late to enter now and a month down the line you all might of forgotton my jibes.

  12. Chris Booth here,.

    Hangin me head in shame,

You boys scared my V8 in to not wanting to come out of the garage  ,

It stood there shakin in fear at all those noisy smokey diesels growlin at him,

I stayed with it untill 1am trying to talk it out but it didn't want to go and play even after giving it rescue remedy (for nervous flyers),

plus I didn't fancy seeing Saleys fat arse running up and down hills all day steamin more than the diesels.

Good afternoon and see you soon

    Boothy will be back :D
