Mog, give them a chance, only just took the 110 in 20 mins ago, I did use a few of your quotes above to the numpty on reception !! And they tried to fob me off with a Peugeot loaner, but after a little discussion, drove back in a new HSE freebie (vast improvement on the old ones !!!)

Chris, just amazed how you get the figures !! OK, so far not to impressed with the 07 Defender, (front winch + large Patriot rack) inc approx 65% towing, First 1000 or so returned near 22mpg (? running in ?) but the last 5/600, again inc a good percentage towing is now down to 19.3 !!! On previous 110 TD5 (again with the same rack on + running a PSI tuning box) and 60-70% of the time towing, never could get much over 22-23, always came out at about 290 miles to a tank !! With the Sport, (4.4 V8, rack,winch, heavy gear !!) best was the Pyrenees trip 21.7 overall, But as Chris says, was on a economy drive in convoy with the Defenders !! overall around the 18mpg mark

In defence, with all the rain, not had one leaked, as yet !!, and never had a abs fault light on any of the umpteen previous Defenders,, Discovery and Range Rover ,,yes, but never defender, must now be using a more advanced system

Yep, tis mine with the ABS/Tracs Light on !! Came one once when about 500 miles,when out when restarted,, then again at about 1300 miles, (2 mins away from supplying dealer took it straight to them, and left it running, they were not bothered to look at the time !!) Booked in, and they cleaned up a sensor, (so they say) then came on again, first time i use it afterwards, Due back in to them on Monday, to sort, (with a loaner, and not the poxy Bm i had last time either !!) alone with lack of wax !!, damaged rear seat trim etc, Just been offered a 05 110 G4 TD5, tempting !!

Well depending on what time Will is thinking about starting on Sat ? , I fancy a bit of both, not a problem for me to go to L2B via Lynton, !!

Will, you forgot, plus 3 hours hassle to get to Crystal Palace on the sat, then the grief coming back Sun night along the south coast !!!

Chris,, No, So long as a specialist carries out the services etc to manufacturers specifications, still under LR ( or any other makers ) warranty

See you point Stephen, but even if it is serviced/repaired by a specialist, the vehicle is still covered by the 3 year warranty, i certainly will be looking after mine, myself !!
