  1. Dan, yep dealer also has a sensor waiting for me, Taking it in to fix when it suits me,, ie late tomorrow evening, and picking up a TDV8 for the weekend The lame excuse of the carpet retaining the heat, is Bo----ks, non of my previous TD5's ran as hot, with or without the carpet !!
  2. My ABS light always goes out, as soon at you pull away, Problem is, that it will then come one whenever it feels like, along with the Tracs light !! Two fixes by the supply dealer has yet to sort it, now waiting for the elusive sensors to arrive, (meant to be today) Only clunk i am getting, is when pulling away with the trailer on !! none of the previous TD5's did it Only real issue i have, is the high underside temperature, near the gearbox/ handbrake lever, after about a 60/70 mile run Dealer has striped and adjusted the handbrake, but have you to check it
  3. Believe it or not, was also told that as well yesterday, 31 of them due out to dealers today, for del tomorrow, yer right, and pigs may fly !!
  4. Looks good Jim, just need to be fitted to the vapor truck now
  5. Well done Mark, got their in the end, Glad Jo got the vote re colour !! As Bog says, shame its 20 inch short !! , best we get a pic with the pair of blue XS's
  6. Guess what, mine is back on again last night, both ABS and tracs !! lasted all of 200 miles since their 2nd attempt to fix, Told them its on the way back in, and to have a RRS or D3 HSE ready as a loan, until fixed
  7. Only a couple of Pictures Other half on gate duty,, sorting out the Marshalls He was a lot bigger in real life
  8. OK, will work out the 07, and the hybrid figures, both left home full, The 07 towing the hybrid to the pub and back, The hybrid doing the route + from the pub to the start, Have no idea the miles, but seams most did about 90 ish ?? Have a feeling i do not want to know
  9. Steve, yep, have got one thanks,, And have a load more better things to do, that worry about why Landrover are incapable of doing they job correctly, and have us lot running about in MOT failure vehicles, But then you did have a perfect Range Rover
  10. Thanks to all for the great company again guys and gals !! Chris excellent route, and one to be proud of, all 8 hours worth !! Thanks Ralph and Si for the Marshall duties, Si,, So sad to know, this was the last outing for your machine ! And our "team" of Mo & Stuart ? , Mark & Jo, Adrian and his better half + dogs Only got the one picture, (to follow) and that's the great big bull guarding one of the gates, good job the Mrs (on gate duty) is not scared of them !!! She did noticed no one else volunteered to open this one !! Chris, got the date for the next one yet, 3rd time lucky weather wise
  11. Si, totally gobsmacked, !! real sorry to hear the bad news Just thinking of the months of work, trying out new bits on her, you have spent, as said, is only metal, but did have a load of blood sweat and tears !! Glad you spotted it, and got out OK, any idea what the cause was ?? Was only joking about booking the AA for Fleet services
  12. Mmm, Not the response one needs from an employee for Customer Loyalty Executive !!! Checked the underside of mine this morning, since she is still fairly clean below, hard to tell if anything done, Guess maybe !! a few extra/more bits of sealer !! so they have the benefit of doubt
  13. As you no doubt have found out, all Landrover call them is ""BRUNEL GRILL & HEADLAMP SURROUNDS" Not a lot of help !!
  14. Sorry, but does not sound good, Your Discover would have ran out of warranty at 3 years from date of first reg, (?? around march/April this year), OR 60,000 miles, whichever is the soonest !! Sounds by your post, like someone fitted a Landrover exchange gearbox ??,, 16 months/45,000 miles ago,, This box will more that likely have had a 12 months and probably 12,000 miles warranty, both of which are now out !! I know a few years back, had a TD5 XS 2000 year,, 3 boxes in the first 3 years, the last one, was out of warranty by 7,000 miles, but under the 3 years old, NOT covered !!
  15. Been a member their for a few years, even in the "inner sanctum" but used it rarely !! never had a problem with the pages loading
  16. Yep, as Jim says, i always ran them without tubes, with 255/85 BFG's ,,, never had a problem,

  18. Guys, well mine is supposed to have had attention done to the wax under seal, while in the dealers for the last few days, not seen as yet, will put on the lift and check, when i get her back !!
  19. Guess what,, My 07 is still in with the dealers, for various things, inc the ABS/Tracs etc told she needs a new r/h front sensor, but more or less the same lame excuse as above "Sensors are not available yet" so quote them the parts number, and advised they better nick one from the production line !! Also, there is a back order on the locking mechanism on the rear most seats, Mine does not fully unlock, but when it does, the base prongs which aline in the seat bottom, ripes the seat trim !! And they recon they have applied some more under body wax !! but the jury is still out on that one, need to see first !!
  20. OK, Paul did phone back today, all sorted, but may have to camp in the beer garden !!! Chris, he did say, it would be appreciated, a rough head count !! for meals, more so on the Sat evening ??
