The three bolt is quite a bit bigger. I'm fairly sure I swapped the drop arm on our three bolt as it kept coming loose and I think retro is correct.

Snorkel wadding depth of 10ft......

Not that I'm aware of. The three bolt that was on our 110 looked to be original so 30 years and 150k miles. I changed it because the drop arm kept coming loose. The 6 bolt is supposed to be heavy duty and is a straight swap for the four bolt but again that's metric (off the shelf for a 200tdi) hoses so doesn't fit three bolt hoses.

Something coming loose or opening up with the heat and letting air in.

If your using a 200tdi you would need special hoses to fit a 3 bolt as they are imperial. You can buy hoses/pipe off the shelf to connect a 4 bolt to a 200tdi.

I'm not sure who they were with but my parents policy was similar.... it just had a £1K limit on a single item without it being listed.
Yeah that sounds similar.

Ours is M&S premier and if I remember correctly the garage cover is unlimited.

Both my blade and vee block were picked up cheap at sodbury if I remember correctly.

A chassis swap last year turned into new: battery box, front edge of rear floor, passenger C post, repairs to both rear sills and a patch up of the drivers C post. I feel your pain. Mind the truck is nearly 40 years old so needs some loving from time to time.

I'm saddened to hear that, but hope you will remain on here.

He had a habit of acting before thinking but we all loved him for it.

The last set I bought were bearmach I think, they were the rubber ones not the harder plastic type. They've lasted a whole two months. I thought at the time these fit well and are nice and flexible....clearly that didn't help either. I will get some gen ones a see how they compare.

HD flanges are beyond my budget bearing in mind I have two trucks that would need doing. To add to the confusion it's a drum Salisbury, a disc converted Salisbury, a 10 spline front and a 24 spline front which makes ordering hard work.
I think I'll just get a pack of gen caps and just replace them as they split.

I've tried both the plastic and rubber ones can't remember makes. Not tried heating them though, good tip.

Recently I've gone through rather a lot of half shaft dust covers (frc4377). They only manage a few months then spilt. Genuine ones are a little pricey but I'll get them if need be. Has anyone found any after market ones that are any good.

Not helping either of you. Mind not sure that's a practical camper not that, that's ever stopped me.

I for one would love to see a rebuild thread on the Esarco.

Good to see it back in! Started yet?
Careful.....

It's only a 6x4 so completely useless. However if it was £5k it would be worth ditching the tipper and fitting a camper body. Then if you figure out proper 6x6.......then it could be very cool.

You can also roll stuff backwards and forwards with a pit which can be useful.

That looks like it could work out fine. Probably easier for me on the Sunday but could probably do Thursday evening without to much trouble. I've pm'd mat so as long as he's happy I'll pay him and we can sort the rest out as we go.
Thanks, mike

If your building the workshop a pit is a no money option and can be built with proper stairs/ramp to get in and out. Ramps are more versatile especially 2 post but 4 post is definitely safer with 2ton+ of land rover.

As long as mat is happy with this it looks like a plan. I can definitely get it from fridge and possibly on the A303 depending on timings (though I probably shouldn't do the 26th as it's my daughter's birthday )

Curve ball not rugged as such but I've got a fairphone 3. I've dropped mine several times and I work in a boat yard with it in my pocket. The reason I bought it was a couldn't find a rugged phone I liked/could afford and every part is easily replaceable so if I break it I can fix it.
