Very small, barely larger than a pack of fags.
I'll bring it along tomorrow, if no relay can be set up, I'll try and find a post office on Tuesday. There's a post office across the road from me so I can post it for you on Tuesday if you want.

There was a chance I would be there bonnet-less, but apparently Mr Plod won't like that, so will be doing best to get something that resembles one in place.
I can absolutely guarantee Mr plod doesn't like 'no bonnet'.

You've got a hell of a lot of work to do if you think you'll get your wife in the 109 for longer than about an hour.

In reality it's a tragedy caused by poor judgement and bad luck.

I reckon another arctic circle trip is a good plan, but yes you'd probably have to separate that from the southern leg or it would take months!
I don't see a problem with it taking months....
However my boss might.

Reverse light. It can affect the disco box quite badly but I can't remember how much it effects the defender box so worth checking.

When will people learn fords are dangerous if flowing. Discovery's etc are worse than defenders because they are more watertight and tend to float.

Check the reverse switch adjustment as it can affect getting into reverse. The other thing to check is making sure the clutch is disengaging properly a dragging clutch may not notice to much into first because of synchromesh but may cause issues with reverse.

Working on it. But haven't found a house yet.
If you do that I'll either have to extend our planned euro trip (not happening anytime soon I might add) or split it into two trips.

If you are keeping standard ISH size tyres then all will be ok.
Anything over 265/75/ 16 tyres then start increasing strength.
Stock axles are fine up to 33" tyres. You can get away with 35's (especially if the rear is a Salisbury) as long as the tyres are just muds and not simex/trep style. At the end of the day it depends how mechanically sympathetic you are, I know people who have destroyed axles on stock road tyres.

Funnily enough I came across them about a week ago. It appears to be a russian land rover specialist. I suspect main dealers are a bit scarce over there these days.

My ibex is on 33/12.50x15's and I run 30psi front and 37psi rear but my weight distribution is slightly different. The wife's 110 on 255/85x16's is 30psi front (massive pto winch) and 35psi rear.

I believe the basic swb kit starts around 8-10k but theoretically all you need is a defender and some paint. You can build one for around 25k which sounds a lot until you realise the equivalent defender, galv chassis, fresh paint, cage, suspension, winch etc will probably cost you a lot more and you end up with a bespoke truck that is more capable and suprisingly practical (I daily mine) I was very lucky and found an unstarted kit for sale with quite a lot of bits missing. So although mine worked out cheaper I had a lot more work to do and a pile of bits I had no choice but to buy from foers (they are more than happy to supply parts for older ibex).

The 300 looks good.
What's the turning circle like?
A little bigger than a 110 but that's more down to the tyre width I'm running and it's only really noticeable with a trailer in reverse.

Didn't the BBC or someone like that have a fifth wheel trailer on a Sandringham. I seem to recall @Arjan looking or asking about one.
