  1. This one worked fine for my pvt plate.
  2. PS: the manual I'm (trying) to read is Part No. 9328 issue No. 170297 and that is for definate - bigger print
  3. Nige, I think the "Gear Pump" number is 4.75.003091 but as stated in the text I've sent you - don't take it as gospel as I'm looking at a copy of a copy ad infernitum, and sent by fax N.
  4. I'd still check your bearings. I once had an all mighty crunching sound. jacked it up, checked wheel, no play, and once back running no crunch! On the way home that evening the wheel siezed up - 3 lanes later... better to be safe than sorry.
  5. JJ, you didn't say what condition the brearing were in that you took out? It may be worth checking your axle breathers. If you do a lot of wading and your breathers are blocked this can cause a pressure/steam build up and force the EP90/grease past the hub seals and therefore lead to premature wear and tear on the brearings.
  6. I've hit far to many things to be in a position to possibly comment. Responses are fun though.
  7. WTF! Would they rather me have 2 cars - one for around town and one for my "normal" use? How environmental would that be? Some people eh!
  8. Yep. think I's got it. In me head it works any ways, and in me little drawing it makes sense.
  9. I'm just surprised JU hasn't posted a wiring diagram by now N.
  10. Next job is to fix the hydraulic accellerator. Talk about over engineering. The Aux lever on the wing top sends pressure to a piston located under the engine, which in turn pulls a cable, the cable pulls a secondary bracket on the throttle. At present I have a cable sleeve and the secondary bracket - as yet the two have to meet - possibly via a replacement cable That's next weekends to do list topped up.
  11. OK - I was in 2 minds as to wether to post this - but hey ho, I's man enough (Shush all those that know me ) Underneath where the centre front seat or cubby box sits is a plate, like the battery cover plate under the passenger seat, underneath this sits a switch, very similar to a hand break switch. When the PTO leaver is engaged this presses the switch and activates the alarm buzzer and warning light - it is at this point my engine would stall. On the wing top next to the winch controls is an emergancy engine stop button... I guess you can see what's coming... Whenever I've tried the emergancy stop button in the past it has not done anything and so presumed it to be not working and added it to the to do list. The red knob was broken and a friend removed it with the intention of taking it to work to see if he could "find" a replacement, this just left the thread of the switch showing. Needles to say, over the weekend I found out that this cut off switch only works when the PTO is engaged, and someone had depressed it, with little or no visble sign of this, I's spent several weeks trying to work out why my engine stalls when PTO is engaged. Hence, there is now an old gear knob on my wing top where otherwise a big red button should be, and all's well with the world. Thanks to all for your help. N.
  12. for starters... The H14 ratio is 48:1 Last night, despite being tired, I tried a few permitations, including all gears in neutral - and it still stalled when PTO engaged. This leads me to think it's an electrical/fuel cut off problem. There is a buzzer and light installed to indicate when PTO is engaged - but how this would/could effect fuel cut off I aint sure yet. More investigation required me thinks. It's a wierd one. N.
  13. I think it might. See - told you Jules was dizzy
  14. I'm hoping it wont involve a Land Rover spanner... but then, you never know
  15. Who - What - Where... Did I hear my name mentioned? Jules - your turn to put kettle on
  16. Dunno yet - gonna have a good look around at the weekend. When Jules says "all sorted" he doesn't mean it - he gets confused really easily
