Hi Tony
I fill out the forms for team 11 and post etc.

for simplicity, Richard let's you and I take the spare team space and I'm sure someone else will fill in the other.
So DD, who's biatching for you?? If it's your bro, I need to find someone to co-drive for me.
Let me know and we will sort this out.
Is it one winch per team?? If so we'll be ok with mine, honestly
Also get Jonathan to give me a call as I have a week at the vets lined up when he wants to do it. He just needs to call them and sort out a time that's good for him. I'll give him no. and names etc.
Cheers

Sure sounds good to me
Yes winch will be ready, unless I break it again!!
Had some 'local' expert help in stripping it down completely today and re-building. Just need to put some EP90 in and fit the new 24v motor too.

Hi Tony
I was looking forward to playing on the Friday, I mean setting the punches out with Chris, but if someone is short of a team mate I'll team up.
Also, for a change I was looking forward to having a few beers on the Friday night, knowing that I wouldn't be competing the next day!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Let me know

Just sign up to a monthly donation to UNICEF and then put some "Donate to UNICEF" stickers down the side and then they will think you are a saint!

Stephen - can you be specific about the parts that you need ?
Hi Adam
I think Stephen needs whole Transits.
BTW, just an aside in this weeks autocar, they imported a Ford Mustang direct from US by using a shipping agent and a company to get through SVA test. Import duty was 10% plus VAT.
Is it worth getting trucks from US, as they are so much cheaper?? Can't see that left hand drive can be too much of a problem there.

I have been asked at work to get some quotes for some Ford Transits for the company fleet
You mean Discovery LR3's??

Devon 4x4 do a sports hoop for both 90 and 110 truck cabs that would suit your friends purpose.
They supply other stuff in Chrome, so I'm sure having it finished this way would not be a problem.

yeah as Tony says I think the breaking strain limits are much lower, around 10-15,000lbs IIRC

Hi Bigfoot
As you say they don't come up that often secondhand.
They were originally made by Safety Devices. Now that they are up and running again you could get one off them. I have a spare one (without diagonal) but it doesn't have the backstay braces that bolt on to tub edge. Here are the numbers you need for Safety Devices..
RBL1115SNS Rear Military Style Hoop 2" with diagonal. Mounts through cappings into bolt-in corner brackets. Backstays go to waist rail cappings.
RBL1114SNS Rear Military Style Hoop 2" without diagonal. Mounts through cappings into bolt-in corner brackets. Backstays go to waist rail cappings.
Their new contact details are..
Safety Devices International Ltd
1st Floor
Kininvie House
Fordham Road
Newmarket
Suffolk
UK
CB8 7AQ
(+44) (0) 1638 561047
Also All wheel trim do them for 207 GBP a go..

Hi Donald
I had the same problem with the hybrid, did all of the same swapping etc nothing cured it. Did the same thing as FatBoy suggested and used RR rubber spring isolators, but put them on top and bottom of springs to give about an 1" lift.

You can try Dinitrol 445 or 447 antistone chip paint and then over paint or wax with Waxoyl or Dinitrol 441

Yes Safety Devices is up and running again under a new company name, so I assume that they wound the old one up owing suppliers etc.
Now operating out of an office in Newmarket with production now in Poland. Can't see how lower labour/manufacturing costs are going to work though. Always seemed to me that it was poor marketing and Mgmt that let it down not the products or skilled workforce.

if it's an LR one just drop by dealership and buy another one. Or yes you can get a tool to remove any locking nut.
