Should be available on Topix:

But you'll need to register/pay for access.

That looks like a nice trip!

I've only ever seen them on the diff.

Same, very happy with our Alpicool T50.
Only real "issue" with it is the fridge part gets a bit too cold when the freezer is running. Quite often had frozen milk.
-
How are the aerodynamics now that you modified the front? Noticeably better?
-
I've used their stuff on my P38.
Could be you have to go to a different section depending on what type of radio youbwant to install, the link is for Pioneer.

Mmm, an Epsom Green RRC. Makes me miss mine.

That looks really, really nice.

I was 12 or so, liked The Simpsons, and my name is Ben, in that time around here shortened to "Bekke".
So I became El Bekko (instead of El Barto).
And it stuck around.

Tell that to the ones I used on my veranda roof and broke by looking at them after 2 summers.

I don't understand how you can make that assessment. Can you please help me. It appears that there are only two photos and I can’t see any of the suspension. Yes, I can see that the wheels have 5 studs, but where can you see suspension mounts and the cross member? I’m not trying to be a smart-ass, but please tell me what I’m missing.
Mike
The bits of chassis you can see, the axle ends you can see, the springs and perches you can see - all scream coiler Land Rover to me.

3-axles are nice and stable, I've done a fair bit of towing with @Escape's 3-axle Ifor TB. The biggest downside is manoeuvering on uneven surfaces, it'll swap the wheel it's pivoting on on a whim, which can be a bit annoying.
And seconded with the lashing points, it could really do with a bit of holesaw treatment.
Overall: go as big in size and capacity as you can get away with, you'll never regret having a trailer that's slightly too big for the load.

The one I repaired already had these fitted, axle still failed... Split on the bottom of the weld, the bracket does nothing to support the welded section over the weight of the vehicle pressing down
Regards Stephen
That's concerning. Seems like a design flaw in the bracket, then?
-
Honestly doesn't look like that bad a fix? It'll take up most of the tensile forces on that weld, and definitely looks chunky enough to do it. It's like a little axle truss on the bottom of the axle.

Not familiar with this particular one, but with removable type balls you often have to loop around the tow ball neck. There's nothing else available on my car to attach to. Far from ideal.
Same on my GLE, the eye for the safety cable is attached to the towball that comes out electrically. AFAIK there's no other eyes closer to the chassis, might have to look into adding something...
When I installed the tow bar on my E-class, there was an eye that bolted to the non-removable part, that was much better. -
That's proper scary!

No idea what the scam was because you still got a Wurth sprayer with good seals at the end of the day, it just took a couple of days longer. Bizarre.
The ebay seller is effectively getting them at half price, and the original seller is losing 1/2 of his sales income.

My favorite paint, for quality of finish, is CombiColour. It goes straight on to metal but is not very mechanically tough
That's an understatement. I used it on my bumper build, and it scratches off like crazy. I think when I redo the paint I'll try some 2K primer + finish.

Will be revisiting

I've been wary of Temu (like all things that are advertised heavily), but it looks like it's just AliExpress with some added privacy concerns. I wouldn't install the app, but ordering from the website is probably alright for non-essential stuff.

A lot of the problem is manufacturers (not only Land Rover) making new cars so easy to steal. Keyless entry & keyless start are the main problem. Only now, after years of thefts are the manufacturers adding Time of Flight measurement - so it works out how far the keyfob is from the car. Unfortunately, they've only done a half-a***d job of this as there's already a very simple exploit that defeats it.
I saw this myself a few weeks ago with a guy in a supermarket car park wondering where his new (I think it was a Bentley) had gone. They must have wandered around the store with the repeater while someone outside just waited for a car to unlock.
It's only a shame all Land Rovers of all ages are seemingly lumped together as being a high insurance risk. The last generation (Disco & RR) before keyless are apparently very hard to steal - but still the premiums are increasing.
When parked at home, I always make sure to disable my GLE's key, it's a double tap on the lock button. No risk of replay attacks then.
I'm guessing the same is possible on a modern Land Rover?

Having just done a budget OBA install using a Jag air suspension tank I'm not sure I'd want to be using anything that's not a pressure vessel as a pressure vessel - first run-up watching that gauge climb makes you acutely aware of your own mortality Especially the x-member which is hanging down asking to be clonked on a rock.
Agreed, wouldn't want something going very bang underneath, and also losing air pressure at the same time.

I can't fully remember (10 years ago) when we put a 1UZ in a mates Hilux.
It needed a hall sensor on the tail shaft telling the ECU to increase idle as the vehicle came to a stop or it kept stalling at junctions/lights etc.
Engine was from a Soarer, the sensor was in/on the gearbox that we didn't have.
We never did fit one! I taught him to heel n toe to prevent it cutting out...🤪
Cheers
Dave
That's actually really interesting for unrelated reasons. @Escape, it might be the Jag's issue after all.

Thoughts and musings on the new defender
in New Defender Forum (2020 onwards)

Oh come on, stop it already.
AI as it exists today is still very far removed from actual intelligence. All they've managed to do is make a language model that sounds convincing. Not accurate, not correct, just convincing.
But oh no, an "AI" can write a convincing-sounding paper on why the earth is flat, the world is ending!
As with all technical advancement, work changes, but doesn't get eliminated altogether. If that means more people need to start telling computers what to do, then that is what the workforce will shift to.
Ol' Musky is just trying to drum up interest in his AI company, I'm sure.
