I just have it on my main battery. The P38 has a 150A alternator, which helps.

Yup, I have one. Same reason, cheap enough to take a punt on. Just the winch rope costs that much.
It works well. Seems well constructed and good quality. The rope held up to some heavy pulling on @Stellaghost's lightweight dead in deep mud.
So far the only thing I can fault it on is that the wireless remote is wired the wrong way around, but I'm sure that's just swapping two wires in the control box.

Is it an option to get it explicitly included in a building's insurance, instead of specifically on the car?

Shouldn't be too difficult, no. There was a thread on here a few months back of someone doing exactly that.
The top mount needs a cutout for the airline to stick through. Top and bottom are held in place with a pin.
I'd go for some Arnott (or knock-off) bags that have the bag crimped onto the pedestal.

The Trail Mater crew is by far the best and most professional. Casey LaDelle is decent, but does silly things as well. MORR has gotten more professional, but still very much sand-recovery-with-a-rope guys that now also have winches.
Heavy D is a commercial with cool equipment. But by far the most yee-haw and sketchy of all. Cool shots, godawful editing.If you want to watch someone do very safety-minded (non-off-road) recovery, go watch Ron Pratt operate his rotator, that is impressive to watch.
On the flipside, most people on here think even looking at a kinetic rope will murder a bus of nuns...

Just to clarify for some readers:
The beadlock talk is because Sid was having issues with almost no tyre deformation, and dropping down to very low pressures seems to help - but at the risk of losing a bead.

That thing is horrifyingly ugly too. At least the Earth Roamer stuff is functional and decent-looking, even if they weight more than the moon.

The steering bars should probably be changed out anyway? They looked to be stock LR items that were flexing quite a bit?

did find these which are the most complex weld on ones I’ve seen and look pretty good
another way you could do it is to cut your wheels in half, weld a pare of bolt rings in and have a spacer tube in the middle to make a crude double beadlock
Those look interesting, and ok priced. How do you install these, cut off the existing outer bead and weld these on instead?
A certain incident at 7S may have prompted me to think about this
As another option, @Escape used to run air beadlocks. Like this:

I've also seen people use old motorcycle tyres for this. They're a faff to stuff into the wheel though.

I think beadlocks would definitely help there. And more sidewall = more better, but I think beadlocks would be a good first step. And not wasted in case you step up to bigger tyres!

On the turbo front, maybe a sequential setup would work better?
A 4.6 V8 is definitely the right fix.
Something I noticed driving behind you: some of your wheels looked to have quite a lot of runout.

If you start counting from the moment you pick up the slack, it shouldn't be too bad? And when you get one that's close, you can always open it up to be sure.

This is relevant to my interests. I have a Waeco CF25 now (the old model with the manual sliders). It works really well, but has gotten a bit small with the dog getting fresh food that needs to be frozen. So now we get to choose between having food for the dog or food for us

From that it looks like the Alpicool is a pretty good deal? Are people still happy with those a few years later? Decathlon over here has the Alpicool CF40 for €319 at the moment, might be worth a punt (after some measuring).

Just spent the last half hour looking up if the wife's sante fe has the towing capacity. Can't remember the last time I took the Lwt properly off road.
The trailer @Escape was using for his is a two-tonner (since I ~stole~ borrowed his triple-axle Ifor for mine), and it did well.
I think a Santa Fe should be around the two tonne towing capacity mark? Most midsize SUVs are.

It works really well, quite happy with everything. The winch had a good workout pulling a dead Sid out of the swamp, with the only drama being popping my tyre off the bead...
Didn't need to recover myself at any point, started to once, then realised I only got stuck because viscous couplings only work with viscous fluid, and drove out with the handbrake pulled (front had traction, rears were in the air).

From what I saw, @Daan. He and his truck have a habit of suddenly appearing where you really don't expect them. Like driving up the winch challenge course where Sid was having to winch up.
Sid was impressive to see in many ways this weekend. Few teething issues. The main thing it needs is more flexible tyres and the power to spin them properly.
And maybe a temp gauge and oil pressure light
